Records galore for World Aquatics Scholarship holders at Singapore 2025

The World Aquatics in Singapore 2025 showed amazing abilities from athletes that people have never seen before! A total of 40 swimmers on the World Aquatics scholarship came to the championship meet. Among the World Aquatics Scholarship holders, Ronan Wantenaar was an athlete in the Men’s 50-meter Breaststroke, clocking a National Record of 26.85sec and qualifying for the semi-finals! “The World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025 was an amazing experience. I am proud and grateful for the support I have received as part of the World Aquatics Scholarship Programme, and setting the National Record in the Men’s 50m Breaststroke gives me tremendous pride,” Said Ronan.

Olympics

Katharine Berkoff and Regan Smith gave the U.S. its first one-two of the 2025 World Swimming Championships, topping the 50m backstroke, an event that makes its Olympic debut in 2028. Australia captured the women’s 4x200-meter freestyle relay. Katie Ledecky anchored a silver medal team to an American record.

World Records

From Summer McIntosh taking down three world records last month to Gretchen Walsh and Katie Ledecky lowering their own world records in May, the times have only gotten faster since the Paris Olympics. With the 2025 World Swimming Championships behind us, even more world records could be rewritten.
