What in the Sports?!

First of all, the breaking news is that Blake beat Breck for the first time in 10 years, isn’t that great?

If you like basketball like me, then I will tell you that the Indiana Pacers traded Domantas Sabonis(the Pacers star player) Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday, and a 2027 2nd round pick to the Sacramento Kings. Sacramento gave up Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson to Indiana. Crazy, right!

In the NFL, the Super Bowl is coming up, it is Bengals vs. Rams. The favorite is the rams among the Blake 4H Class. Joe Burrow and Ja’marr Chase have formed a duo that helped the Bengals get to the LVI (56th) Super Bowl. But the Rams have Aaron Donald, quite possibly the best player in the Super Bowl, and a potentially better all-around team than the Bengals. No bias here, though.

Meanwhile, on the soccer field, it is getting a bit crazy. In the Premier League, Manchester City(my favorite team)is up 9 points. They are really good. Liverpool is also doing well. One of Liverpool’s star players, Sadio Mane, is being thought of as being traded.

And right as I am writing this, which is 55 minutes after the NBA trade deadline, the 76ers traded Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, a 2022 unprotected first-round pick, and a 2027 1st round pick top 8 protected picks. The Nets gave up James Harden and Paul Millsap. This is good for the nets because they still have a big 2, and way more depth. This is also good for Philadelphia because Ben Simmons wasn’t playing, Joel Embiid needed a secondary star, and depth isn’t much of a problem for the 76ers.

Also in the NBA, Kristaps Porzingis was traded to the Washington Wizards for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans. This is not a great trade for the Dallas Mavericks who had Kristaps Porzingis because they didn’t get anyone good.

After the Super Bowl, the Rams won in a thriller in a close to the end of the game touchdown play. Cooper Kupp got the touchdown for the Rams to end the game. The Bengals didn’t get far enough to attempt the field goal, so they lost. The halftime show was mediocre or bad according to the Blake 4h classroom.
