From Justin Jefferson being placed on the IR, to the Vikings thinking about tanking, here is the latest Vikings news from this season.

Justin Jefferson placed on the injury report in week 5. He can’t return until week 10 even though he was questionable to return to the game in week 5. Most Vikings fans are thinking that the Vikings are bad and we should tank, and this decision goes along with tanking. In week 6 without Jefferson, the Vikings had 220 total yards the whole game. Now for a couple weeks Addison is the number 1 receiver, and Brandon Powell is entering the rotation as a receiver.

Danielle Hunter trade talks. I am writing this on October 19th, so by the time this is released this might already be a done deal. The reason why the Vikings would trade him is because of the tanking problem. He is playing like one of the best edge rushers in the NFL, which means we could get a big return with picks if we sent him to a contender like Philadelphia, Kansas City, or San Francisco. It could be a good option if we are looking for a full reset with drafting a quarterback and looking to get a few extra picks in the next couple drafts.

Jordan Addison is having a breakout season. Jordan Addison is a certified red zone threat in the NFL. He has 4 receiving touchdowns in 6 games, tied for the 3rd most in the NFL. He’s a rookie and he is already one of the best red zone threats in the league! All Vikings fans hope that Jordan Addison will go crazy in his time as wide receiver 1 with Jefferson on the injury report. He is looking like he could be a wide receiver 1 through the first 6 weeks, and we will see how he embraces that role for a couple weeks.

Kirk Cousins is one of the premier passers in the league. Everyone likes to trash on Kirk but he is really good at passing the ball. Through 6 weeks, he has 14 passing touchdowns, tied for 1st in the NFL. He also has 1,679 passing yards through 6 weeks, 2nd in the NFL. He also has the 6th highest passer rating in the NFL at 100.6. What these stats show you is that Kirk is one of the best passing quarterbacks in the league.

The defense is much improved with Brian Flores. Last year the Vikings were the 2nd to worst defense out of 32 teams in the NFL, so we decided to get a new defensive coordinator in Brian Flores. We have a lot of faith in Brian Flores, as he has brought this Vikings defense that doesn’t have many star players from the bottom of the barrel to the middle of the pack. Overall this season, the main problem has not been our defense. He has helped improve our defense and helped some players like Camryn Bynum and Jordan Hicks unleash their full potential this season.
