This is a review of the book, The Troubled Girls Of Dragomir Academy! You might want to be excited about this book because the author went to Blake! Now, this book is good if you like an intriguing story line.
It starts off with a girl named Marya Lupa in a world with evil witches who control the Dread, and sorcerers who fight it. The Dread is an evil force that sucks the life out of people. Marya is the sister of Luka Lupa, her older brother. Everybody loves Luka but she doesn't see the appeal. However, the sorcerers guild find out that Luka is a sorcerer! This is great for Luka, but this also means that Marya has to clean the whole house (mostly the chicken coop) for the council of wizards that will check if Luka really has a gift. The night before the council comes, Marya’s mom comes and gives her a silk dress, and Marya decides to be ladylike for once and not prank Luka any more. But, Luka has other plans. Luka decides to spread her new silk dress on the chicken coop floor and let the chicken soil the dress! Maryas mother finds out and makes her stay in the rafters during the council visit. But, an incident with a goat makes the council leave early. The mother is very angry at Marya and sends her to bed without dinner. The next morning, a letter to a reform school called Dragomir Academy. Maryas parents are happy to send her away, and soon Marya arrives at the school. Though, something about the school seems off. Will Marya find out what's wrong with the school, or will she be forced to turn into a lady with no freedom in life? Find out by reading the book! Check for the next edition for another book review!
