Welcome back to the T.S. Tea. In this article, I will be talking about Taylor Swift’s new album, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.

I think this is one of her best albums, because of the lyricism, and the sound of the songs itself. My personal favorite is Down Bad, which talks about how the aftermath of a strong relationship is.

Another one of my favorites is from The Anthology, the second album, which was released a couple of hours after the main album came out. My favorite song from the Anthology is called So High School. This song is about the romance between her and her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce. It is talking about how she’s had so many relationships, and this just reminds her of a high school love story. The football player with the world-famous pop star. There is a lyric saying, “Are you gonna marry, kiss or kill me, it’s just a game but really,” referring to an interview with Travis Kelce where the reporter asked Travis if he would kiss, marry or kill Taylor Swift.

This song reminds me of the love story between Troy and Gabriella in High School Musical. One of my unpopular opinions about this new era is whether The Anthology was needed. Don’t get me wrong I love some of these songs, but when you’re reaching the end of the second album, the songs start to sound very similar. The song with the most controversy is called, “thanK you aIMee” and if you look at the capitalized letters, it spells out Kim. Kim Kardashian. Kim and Taylor have had some problems over the past years because of the feud between Taylor Swift and Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West. In this song it states how Taylor is going to write such a catchy song, that Kim’s kids will be singing it around the house. I’m sure Kim is not happy about this song in the slightest because she thought their problems were now in the past.

Overall, this album is a masterpiece. There are so many different songs that can fit anybody's taste. This album rates in my top 3 favorite Taylor Swift albums, and I hope you all like it as much as I do.
