Welcome back to the newest edition of The T.S Tea. In this article, I am going to talk about the re-recordings of Taylor Swift. If you don’t know, Taylor Swift decided to re-record her first six albums because her old record label owned them, but like any other artist, she wanted full ownership of her albums.

Here are some of the perks of the re-recordings- 1. The newer Swifties can go through having the excitement of a new album. 2. With every re-recorded album, there is a set of vault tracks. These are songs that didn’t make the final cut of the original album but were released with the Taylor’s Version of that album. Some of my favorite vault tracks include All Too Well 10 Minute Version (obviously), Is It Over Now, and Mr. Perfectly Fine. 3. Taylor Swift can own her own music.

Swift has released 4/6 re-recordings, but Swifties are speculating the next re-recording will be “reputation”. At her ongoing tour called “The Eras Tour” Swift has been announcing Taylor’s Version albums during the acoustic set of her tour. So far there have been four speculations about release dates on Swift’s Tour. But Taylor Swift is a mastermind. She knows what she’s doing, and I trust that it will come when the time is right. Personally, I think Taylor does a pattern of new albums and Taylor’s Version albums. It goes like this: 2 Taylor’s Versions, 1 album, repeat until there are no more re-recordings to do.

Taylor Swift was recently named person Person of The Year, which is a huge accomplishment, with past winners being Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Joe Biden. So for Taylor Swift to be awarded the same award as many presidents is astonishing. A photo in Time Magazine included one of her cats, Benjamin Button, (my personal favorite of her 3 cats).

To end this article, I wanted to state how powerful a woman Taylor Swift is. She is an individual with a huge following, and that comes with a good amount of haters, hence her song Shake It Off. Recently, at an away game for the Chiefs, she was shown on the big screen and was booed. She didn’t seem to care, which I think shows what kind of person she is. She doesn’t let her haters define her, which is empowering to a lot of other women.
