Mr. Moeller

Which historical person/object do you identify with most?

(This is a very interesting question! I haven't thought about this before.) I most identify with Teddy Roosevelt because of how well-rounded he was as a person and a President and because he fought for many important policies that helped better the American People.

What are you most excited about this year?

I am most excited to meet all the new students, get to know the Blake Community better, and become involved in a lot of extracurriculars!

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include working out, playing the guitar, reading, cooking and grilling, video games, sports of all kinds, and relaxing with my dogs! I have a ton of things I am passionate about.

Which question do you have that you most want to be answered?

The question that always comes to mind is: Why do people not think that the Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi duel in Revenge of the Sith is the best lightsaber fight in the Star Wars Cinematic Universe??

What would be your last meal on earth?

My last meal would be a neverending buffet so I prolong my death!

Which historical person/object do you identify with most?

I don't know if this really answers the question, but I do think a lot about the Library of Alexandria.

What are you most excited about this year?

I'm excited about getting to know everyone at Blake! I only teach sixth grade and I have had SO MUCH fun getting to know the sixth graders. What a wonderful group of people! I'm looking forward to meeting more students in other grades and spending more time getting to know the other faculty members (who have already been so helpful and friendly!).

What are your hobbies?

I like to play outside! I'm happy to do most outdoor activities, but some of my favorites are hiking, camping, kayaking, and swimming. I also love crafts, especially "visible mending," which is where you fix clothes with embroidery and fun patches. When I have time to, I try to bake and cook fun food for myself and friends! Another hobby of mine is reading!

Which question do you have that you most want to be answered?

Which is the best ice cream store in the Twin Cities area?

What would be your last meal on earth?

I don't care what I'm eating as long as I'm eating it with friends and family!

What are you most excited about for this year?

Getting to meet all the cool students.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

Never get hurt again, so I can keep playing all the sports that I want to.

Favorite graphic novel?

Maus. It’s a really powerful book.

What are your hobbies?

Hockey, hanging out with my dog, playing video games. I play mainly a game called Sniper Elite 5 and Fortnite.

What would you eat for your last meal––

Pizza.

What is your greatest fear?

Having people expect me to be there and I can’t be there.

What are you excited for this year?

I'm excited to get to know the students. Individually, [it’s been great being a] parent, but being on campus and really getting to know the kids so far has been amazing.

What is your greatest fear?

If you want to be simple about it, open water. If you want to be a little more like existential, being left alone.

What is one question you want to have answered?

I would love to see my kids whole lives, or like I'd love to know what their whole lives are. I've started to see the beginning of our lives, I'm keenly aware of my morbidity. Just to know that they live a perfect, happy life.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to play recreational sports, especially with my kids, pick up baseball, sometimes. And then now that my kids have started playing, I like coaching and playing with [them] too.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

I really struggle with favorites of movie or TV show. So I will say, as a former lawyer, I'm typically asked what my favorite legal movie is, and I always say it's a tie between my favorite legal comedy, My Cousin Vinny, and my favorite legal movie drama, A Few Good Men.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

I won't say world peace because I don't think that can always be ever achieved, but I think we can create a form of stability, and I'd like to see us find that.

What do you do for fun?

What I do for fun is hang out with my six year old, go and bike rides with him, make jewelry, and travel as much as I can.

Which question do you most want to be answered?

Why are we here? Why? What's the point? But not in a depressed way. Why are people here? Why do we even exist here?

Which historical person/object do you identify with most?

Indiana Jones. I think Indiana Jones is the reason I first, like, went into being a social studies [teacher], when I was a kid.So I know he's not real, but my heart says he is the answer.

Favorite Book

Almost anything. Lots and lots of Graphic Novels - especially the Heartstopper Series.

Most excited about…

Excited about being able to work with middle schoolers because they have so much joy.

Hobbies…

I like to garden. I also have a dog and a cat that I spend a lot of time with and I read and I like to do crafts.
