Interview with Melanie Lowin: A Pre-K Teacher At The Blake Campus
Q: What made you decide to become a teacher?
A: Because I love working with children.
Q: When did you start teaching, and when did you start teaching Pre-K?
A: I started teaching as a sub in 2017 and I moved to Pre-K in 2020.
Q: What language have you always wanted to learn? Why?
A: Italian, because I love Italian food, museums, architecture, and the Italian countryside.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: Read, travel, go for runs, play tennis, garden, and of course hang out with my kids.
Q: What book are you currently reading and what three are on your reading list?
A: The Book Thief is what I’m reading right now, and The Sense of An Ending, Tinkers, and The Lacuna are on my list.
Q: How do you like your coffee? Where is your favorite coffee shop?
A: I like Italian Espresso with Almond Milk and my favorite coffee shop is my Nespresso at home.
