1. Api Morado

This Bolivian drink comprises purple corn, cinnamon, water, and sugar, sometimes having chopped pineapple on top. It is the most popular in the Andean highlands of Bolivia. Api Morado can be served hot or cold and is usually served with doughnuts.

2. Bicerin

Bicerin is a mix of coffee and hot cocoa. It originates from Turin, Italy. In Torinese, bicerin means small round glass - traditionally used to serve bicerin. Bicerin is made of three layers: the hot cocoa on the bottom, espresso in the middle, and finally the whipped cream.

3. Moroccan Mint Tea

Moroccan mint tea is sipped every day in Morocco. It is very sweet and is offered whenever anyone comes over. The tea is made by soaking Chinese gunpowder tea leaves (don’t worry, they’re only shaped like gunpowder) and letting spearmint mint leaves soak into the tea. When someone is pouring the tea, they pour it from very high up, the higher they pour it from the frothier the tea is.

4. Atole

This creamy Mexican drink is usually served on holidays like Christmas and New Years. It is thickened by masa harina, a type of corn flour, and milk. The cinnamon that is used in atole is Mexican cinnamon which is really crumbly. Atole is sweetened with piloncillo, (unrefined sugar that tastes like caramel) and vanilla extract.
