Countries Near Ukraine Threatened by Russia

You may have read about the violence and troubling things currently happening in the war in Ukraine. Have you ever considered that it isn’t just Ukraine that is threatened by Russia? The war in Ukraine also threatens its neighboring countries.

The United States is currently sending military aid to Ukraine with the hope of stopping this war. There is a fear of the possibility that it could also spread through Europe and the United States.

The neighboring countries of Ukraine are Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, and Belarus. These countries could possibly be targeted next if Russia wins the war against Ukraine. Imagine living in one of those six listed countries and being fearful of what might happen if the war spreads east. Dreading that future, possibly even having to leave where you’ve lived for your entire life. The same thing that is currently happening in Ukraine could happen in other countries soon if the United States and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) don’t continue to help Ukraine win the war against Russia.
