Broken Strings

Some people are getting very annoyed that the orchestra is at recess while others are okay with it. So far two people have quit Orchestra: Rowan L. and David. One quit because they had a guitar and the other quit because they didn't have enough time to practice and were stressed.
People are annoyed because Orchestra is during Recces and Strings is during Music and people are annoyed that they are missing those things. Here's an interview with Rowan L who quit Orchestra.
When asked why he chose to stop orchestra, Rowan L. said, “Orchestra took too much time out of me and it was hard to find a time to squeeze in the time.”
When asked what would make him come back to Orchestra he said, “I am just done with it and I doubt I will be coming back, but if I would end upcoming back, it would be because they moved orchestra time to any other time than recess”
When asked do you still like chello? Rowan L. said, “I think I will stay away from the cello, so I guess the answer would be no.”
When asked do you have outside-of-school lessons on strings? Rowan L. said, “No, I am not attending outside of school orchestra.”
But others are happy, they think that it is fun and they enjoy it. Here's an interview with Lila H who thinks that quitting is not the answer.
What is your opinion on the orchestra? “I think the orchestra is a favorite of mine because it gives you new songs that aren't in Suzuki and it gives extra practice time.”
When asked: Do you think that it's okay that the orchestra is at recess? Lilla replied, “I think it is one of the only times that they can fit Orchestra in but I think it is okay in my opinion but I know others have different ones.”
When asked: Do you think that orchestra is fun? Lilla stated, “I think it is fun to do the scales where Ms. Kalika splits the groups in half.”
When asked: Does it surprise you that people are quitting orchestra? Lilla said, “Is it their choice to quit? I think that I should stick with it because I already know how to do it and I have already quit violin altogether once but I got back into it.”
Turns out that 60% of Mrs. Hales's 4th grade does orchestra. And 60.9% of the people who do it don’t like it but 13% does. Do you like orchestra? Well, that’s a question for you. Thanks for listening Blake students, see you next time!
