Jake From State Farm ‘08

You are living under a rock if you haven’t heard of the iconic Jake from State Farm. Kevin Miles, the actor who plays Jake, graduated from Blake in 2008. He participated in all of the plays and musicals and was on the track team. He went on to graduate from college with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Acting. Miles landed the State Farm role in 2020 and will always remind you: like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.

Caitlin Clark ‘20

Caitlin Clark was the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft. In college, she led the Iowa Hawkeyes to three Big Ten titles and two consecutive National Championship appearances, but sadly lost both. Now, she plays for the Indiana Fever. Clark graduated from Blake in 2020 and played on the varsity basketball team.

Quinn and Jack Hughes ‘17 and ‘19

2026 has been a huge year for the Hughes brothers. In the Winter Olympics, both scored game-winning goals for the US men’s hockey team, leading the team to their first gold medal since 1980. In the NHL, Jack plays on the New Jersey Devils, having been the No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft. Quinn plays on the Minnesota Wild, the 7th pick in the 2018 draft for the Vancouver Canucks. The Hughes brothers led the Blake Bears to not one but two hockey state championships during their high school years.

Tate McRae ‘21

Tate McRae is headlining the 2026 Lollapalooza music festival. McRae is a wildly successful pop star, following her 2025 Miss Possesive arena tour, which grossed $111 million. Her newest album, So Close To What, was released in February. McRae graduated from Blake in 2021 with honors in choir and performing arts.

Ryan Gosling ‘99

Ryan Gosling has starred in La La Land, the Barbie movie, and most recently, Project Hail Mary. He is a widely known, massively successful actor with 40 awards, including a Golden Globe. Gosling graduated from Blake in 1999 and was a patron of the theater department.

Alysa Liu ‘21

Alysa Liu graduated from Blake in 2021 when she was 15. In addition to being smart, Alysa is an Olympic-level athlete, having won two gold medals at this year’s winter games in Milan Cortina. Alysa started the figure skating team at Blake.
