No matter what things you were interested in last year, you have probably heard about Artificial Intelligence, such as an entire Mission: Impossible movie about it, many news sources claiming the NBA is using AI to track players, Marvel using AI to make a title sequence, and Grammarly adding an AI feature. There was so much AI discourse that Biden signed an executive order to regulate it. As you probably know there are a bunch of pros and cons of AI, so I have interviewed Chat GPT to see what it feels the pros and cons of AI are.

Me: What are the pros of AI?

Chat GPT: Versatility: I can generate human-like text on a wide range of topics, making me versatile for various applications, such as content creation, programming assistance, language translation, and more.

Information Retrieval: I can provide information based on my training data up to my knowledge cutoff date (January 2022), offering insights and answers to a diverse set of questions.

Language Understanding: I have the ability to understand and generate contextually relevant responses, which allows for more natural and coherent interactions.

Scalability: I can handle different scales of tasks, from short queries to longer-form content, making me adaptable for various use cases.

Continuous Learning: While I don't learn in real-time or update my knowledge beyond my last training cutoff in January 2022, I have the advantage of being pre-trained on a large dataset covering a wide array of topics.

Me: How about the cons of AI?

Chat GTP: Lack of Real-time Information: My training only includes information up until January 2022, so I'm not aware of events or developments that occurred after that date.

No Personal Experience or Opinions: I don't have personal experiences, beliefs, or opinions. I generate responses based on patterns learned during training, but I don't have subjective experiences.

Potential Bias: I may inadvertently reflect or perpetuate biases present in the training data. Efforts have been made to minimize biases during training, but it's challenging to eliminate them entirely.

Occasional Inaccuracies: While I strive for accuracy, I may provide information that is not entirely up-to-date or might be inaccurate. Users are encouraged to verify critical information from reliable sources.

Inability to Understand Context Changes: I don't have memory of past interactions within a conversation session. Each response is generated independently based on the current input, so I may lose track of context in lengthy conversations.
