Dear Phoebe,
There’s a group chat that I’m on and some people on it are saying mean things about others that aren’t on the group chat. I feel like if I say something, they won’t want to be my friend anymore. I’m also really scared they’ll kick me off the group chat and say things about me. What should I do?

If they’re saying mean things about others, you should speak up because it’s the right thing to do. If you do speak up and they don’t want to be your friend anymore, they aren’t true friends and it’s probably good you're not their friend anymore. If you’re worried about being alone, try being friends with the people they talk about because they’re usually really nice people. If they say mean things just try to ignore them because they can’t really do anything other than giggle at you in the hall. I know that was short, but I hope it helped and thanks for reading!
